Shallow Survey 2015 - Call for abstracts and delegate registration open

Abstracts for conference papers covering subjects relevant to hydrographic surveying in shallow water are now invited for the 7th International Conference on High Resolution Surveys in Shallow Water which will take place in Plymouth (UK) from 14-18th September 2015.

The Common Dataset (CDS), collected using seven different sonar systems in Plymouth Sound and Wembury Bay last year, is available for analysis and comparison of techniques and outputs. Papers may also look at other developments and issues encountered in industry or academia relating to the conference theme.

Abstracts should be submitted no later than 1st May, and may be submitted through the Shallow Survey website ( Notification of decisions on the abstracts submitted will be issued on 1st June.  

Copies of the Common Dataset are still available from the website at a cost of £85.

The Early Bird rate for delegates is just £300 + VAT and is strictly limited to the first 100 registrations. The fee includes three days of technical papers, an accompanying exhibition, access to workshops and social events including the Gala Dinner. After the first 100 registrations, the fee will rise to the standard rate of £400 + VAT.

Shallow Survey 2015 is being organised by the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office and the Maritime & Coastguard Agency in partnership with Plymouth University, and will take place on the University Campus.
